Deuter Speed Lite 22SL is a lightweight and minimalistic hiking backpack. The minimal use of materials and its reduction to the essentials make the Lite back system an ultralight all-rounder and dynamic companion on day tours and for many other athletic uses. It provides carrying comfort for low to medium loads as well as close and safe fit for challenging terrain. It allows freedom of movement and optimal distribution of load weight thanks to its athletic V-shape. The backpack has a very compact fit through light and airy hip fins which are easy to adjust even with bigger loads thanks to the Pull-Forward straps. Stretch side pockets, valuables pocket, wet laundry compartment, compression straps and loops for attaching gear make it easier to organise your essentials.

Deuter's SL designation stands for "Slim Line" fit, although slim is only a small part of the reason that these packs fit women so well. The whole proportions of the SL back system differ from their usual Unisex offering. Shorter and narrower shoulder straps are designed for shallower shoulders with a less rounded back and neck area, their curves also contour away from the breast area. A more conically shaped belt (where fitted) follows a more typical female pelvic/hip shape.
